The Monday Night Football coverage as an official reporter was a part of her work for the network. Her next move was CNN after which she joined Turner Sports. The first show she created and hosted was self-titled, Unguarded with Rachel Nichols, and aired regularly on CNN and CNN International. The show had more than one billion viewers throughout the globe. Nichols was also a reporter to TNT in NBA broadcasts during the playoffs as well as broadcasts of the All-Star games. Also, she has worked at TBS reporting as an anchor who covers baseball and golf broadcasts. CBS broadcasted the Final Four. This is the first moment in the award's 42-year tradition that a woman has been included among the over 200 candidates.
