Her first job was in the world of music at a very young age. at the age of 10, she won local contests and recorded her first album. When she was 14, she dropped her solo debut album after signing with Rounder Records. The band invited her to join the group with which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album in the band in 1989.
